- This project is creating inexpensive, portable, respiratory monitoring for safely ventilating patients during the pandemic that leads to additional capabilities including:
- the ability to safely ventilate multiple individuals with individual settings, monitoring, and alarms using a single ventilator
- non-invasively, remotely, monitoring respiratory rate and effort during High Flow Nasal Cannula ventilation (commonly used in COVID patients)
- providing a safety monitor for manual bagging systems to prevent hyperventilation and damage to the lungs during emergency transport and other scenarios.
